Es gab kürzlich mal ein Posting auf der englischen Typo3 Liste. Demnach werden die Emails von einigen Providern als Spam deklariert und nicht zugestellt. Hier der Text des Postings:

Hi there,
I am just testing an orderform and found out, that the mail was rejected by one of my email-providers which presumed that this is SPAM.
Another account delivered the mail to me and since I have SpamAssassin running on my computer as well, I could have a look at the results. My SpamAssassin also said, that the mail was SPAM according to his rules.
In detail:
###START###
This mail is probably spam. The original message has been attached
along with this report, so you can recognize or block similar unwanted
mail in future. See http://spamassassin.org/tag/ for more details.
Content analysis details: (5.20 points, 5 required)
NO_REAL_NAME (1.0 points) From: does not include a real name
MSGID_HAS_NO_AT (0.0 points) Message-Id has no @ sign
BASE64_ENC_TEXT (2.4 points) RAW: Message text disguised using base-64 encoding
UPPERCASE_25_50 (1.5 points) message body is 25-50% uppercase
INVALID_MSGID (0.3 points) Message-Id is not valid, according to RFC 2822
###STOP###
I already worked on the NO_REAL_NAME by changing the name of the input field of my form from "nachname" (German for Last Name) to "name". This resulted in
From: test <test@climbing.de>
instead of
From: test@climbing.de
and thereby deducted 1.0 points from the SpamAssassin Scoring. YES! At once the mail was delivered to my testaccount which had rejected the same mail before. So I guess my provider also uses SpamAssassin or something similar.
The UPPERCASE_25_50 comes from the various input fields I am using which names (keys) are all converted to UPPERCASE by "class.t3lib_formmail.php".
And this part BASE64_ENC_TEXT, which adds most of the points to the score - I guess there is nothing really on can do about it.
Anyways - I just wanted to say, that if you encounter similar problems with mails which never arrive or can't be delivered - maybe it's because the provider assumes, that this is SPAM. In that case you might want to change the line 83 of the "class.t3lib_formmail.php"
from:
$Plain_content.= strtoupper($key).": ".$space.$val."
".$space;
to:
$Plain_content.= $key.": ".$space.$val."
".$space;
and check if you have an input field with "name" as name
Best,
Martin
