COMPARE-Fehler mysql_fetch_assoc()

Hallo,

ich bin ein TYPO3-Newbie und habe erfolgreich meien erste Seite erzeugt (Template, Pagecontent, ImageMagick funktionieren ohne Probleme). Wenn ich aber versuche, eine Extension zu installieren (z.B. tt_news oder TemplaVoila), bekomme ich folgende Fehlermeldungen:

Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in C:\xampp\htdocs\new\t3lib\class.t3lib_db.php on line 1009

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at C:\xampp\htdocs\new\t3lib\class.t3lib_db.php:1009) in C:\xampp\htdocs\new\typo3\sysext\install\mod\class.tx_install.php on line 4898

Die gleichen Meldungen bekomme ich auch wenn ich in Install Tool einen COMPARE mit der Datenbank mache.

Ich habe den Webserver mit Hilfe von XAMPP vor 2 Tagen installiert, also Apache, MySQL, und PHP sind auf dem neuesten Zustand.

Hat jemand eine Ahnung, was ich falsch gemacht habe?
