Hi Dudes!

I have question about the protected pages in TYPO3.
When I create a protected page in TYPO3 and put in leftnavigation page holder (for example protected page's name is forum), when I'm not logged in I CANT'T see this page in the menu three. This is OK, but:

When I login, The forum link is visible.

I want this: If I'm NOT login via my fe user and password, I want to see this protected link- forum. But when I click on insted of the forum, user must see something like that: "Ooops, this page is for registred users only". Then, when I typed my username and password, click on the forum link, and I will see forum (error message will be gone).

Is this some extension for this kind of stuff, before I try to make something with [usergroup=*] [else] [global]. Am I on the right track for this? Is it possible?

Thanks, Georgi.

Hello Georgi,

sorry for my bad english.
As far as I can see you could simply create two pages, both with title forum eg. One of this pages will have the message "Ooops, please login first..." and the second one contains the forum.

Now you will set the first page to hidden (in page properties) at login
and the other page to visible at login.
