Danke!

ask in english if this is your first language and also if you handle it better than german.

Sorry for this! I used google translate for the above post.

I create a e- mail feed back form with "mail form". I want to replace

<input type="submit" name="formtype_mail" />

with

<a href="javascript:document.formname.submit();">send</a>

I use css styled buttons and I don't want assign class on above input field!
I try to search this code in the php source but I can't find it.

Is anyone have some solution for this, or suggestion ?
I don't want to use mail form plus extension, because I want to add e- mail fields throuth page content plugin.

thanks, Georgi.

Hi,

that is much better!
I don't really know if this is possible without hacking the source code. There it would be in typo3/sysext/cms/tslib/class.tslib_content.php , guessing line 1900

PS: translating is not always good 😉

Here is my solution:

On the row 1903 of file /cms/typo3/sysext/cms/tslib/class.tslib_content.php I comment this:

$fieldCode=sprintf('<input type="submit" name="%s"%s value="%s"%s />',
								$confData['fieldname'], $elementIdAttribute, t3lib_div::deHSCentities(htmlspecialchars($value)), $addParams);

and replace with this:

$fieldCode=sprintf('<a href="javascript:submitform()" name="%s"%s class="roll_a" id="but-align">%s</a>',
								$confData['fieldname'], $elementIdAttribute, t3lib_div::deHSCentities(htmlspecialchars($value)), $addParams);

I modify form type="submit" because I can't running type="image".
class="roll_a" is my css rollover button. id="but-align is css marker to align button text.

Also I add this javascript:

function submitform()
{

 if(document.mailform.onsubmit())
 {//this check triggers the validations
    document.mailform.submit();
 }
}

to get working of validation form and add external js file to typo3 setup:

page.headerData {
10 = TEXT
   10.value (
<script type="text/javascript" src="fileadmin/rw/lib/js_script.js"></script>
   )
}

Thanks for the help! If I missing something, please let me know!

Georgi
