ich habe Typo3 auf einem Suse 8.1 installiert, hat auch soweit funktioniert, nur leider wird immer die freetype version verwendet die von suse std. mitgeliefert wird, und nicht die von mir installierte 1.3.1. Ich habe den Pfad schon entsprechend in der apache Konfiguration angepasst.

Das Typo3 Install-Tool spuckt immer sowas aus ->
(If the text is exceeding the image borders you are using Freetype 2 and need to set TYPO3_CONF_VARS[GFX][TTFdpi]=96.
If there is no image at all Freetype is most likely NOT available and you can just as well disable GDlib for Typo3...)
Wär echt cool wenn mir da jemand weiterhelfen könnte... 🙂
