Probleme mit Schrift- Rendering

Ich weiß nicht genau, ob es nun ein Problem im TypoScript ist oder eine Einstellungssache in Typo3 o.ä.

Der GIFBUILDER- Befehl in Typo3 funktioniert bei mir nicht richtig. Irgendwas noch mit dem ImageMagick, GD ? Im Typo3- Filebrowser werden Thumbnails angezeigt, also nehme ich an, dass ImageMagick in gewisser Weise funktioniert.

Zuerst hatte ich immer einen leeren Inhalt für den Platzhalter "TITLE" erhalten. Dann hab ich mal im Installationstool noch ein paar Einstellungen vorgenommen und zumindest ein Rechteck wurde gezeichnet. Im Installer selbst gibt es einige Image- Tests, u.a. war in einem auch Schrift reingerendert. Bloß im Typo3 selbst funktioniert's halt nicht.

Die Option niceText ist ja, laut Doku, für das Kantenglätten der Schriftart zuständig. Irgendeine Ahnung, was der Grund sein könnte, warum diese Option nicht funktioniert ?

also bei mir wars die eistellung unter install, 1: basic configuration, free type quick test.
(If the text is exceeding the image borders you are using Freetype 2 and need to set TYPO3_CONF_VARS[GFX][TTFdpi]=96.
If there is no image at all Freetype is most likely NOT available and you can just as well disable GDlib for TYPO3...)

Also bei mir zeigt der den Text korrekt an in der Testbox. Den entsprechenden Parameter habe ich auch schon auf 96 dpi wegen der entsprechenden Version gesetzt gehabt.
