Hi ALL.... I managed a total newbie MOD site from the test site on my vitual server space. NOW I'm gonna use my own server
which isn't really serving at this point to GO FOR IT... with an install from scratch...
I'm running windows XP Pro on my "soon to be a server again" box as it's all I know....
I BET some of you know what the tricks are and I'd be VERY grateful for the GURU secrets if possible.
1) There's a NEW BIG apache on sounrceforge.. do I use the new 1.3 or the old 1.3 ....weird that.... OR maybe you have some insights..
2) I've heard about the latest imagemagick being a bit weird, any comments?
3) I've heard that the latest PHP could be weird too though I'm not really a power user yet. in fact I'm almost clueless....
BUT BOY am I thrilled to have "rediscovered" TYPO3. TRULY the FINEST!
3) WHICH TYPO3 inastall do I use with BIG apache? Can I use the TAR....?
probably not as I'd have to do the symlink??? thing right? is that easy to screw up?
4) If I install the DUMMY site of 3.5b5 then I get all the dummy files and perhaps I wouldn't want those right? Any suggestions?!?!?
