Hello,
I have made my first typo3 website. Unfortunally i made a page called rootpage, and under rootpage i defined 5 other pages (1-5). Now when I type www.mydomain.com I get the rootpage as the first shown page. Instead I want the page no. 1 below the root page to be displayed as default. Is this possible? Do I have to copy all the content of page no. 1 to the root page instead?

hi
there a two ways to handle it.

First you can change the htaccess file to display the page under your root page as the starting page.......

Or you are able to define the root page as a shortcut page...........
You know how to do this?

Thank you for your answer. Unfortunally I'm running IIS 6.0 on a windows 2003 server.

Please could you describe how I define the root page as a shortcut page?

hi
ok i try to do this!
on your root page under the edit sitetitle or somehting like that (im using typo3 in german #giggle# ) you have the option Shortcut mode. go on this..

then you can select the first page under your root page as the shortcut side.....

do this and save!

now go on the frontend and try it.
you should go directly to the page you want....
