Powermail Datumsformat

Hallo,
In Powermail Version 1.6.3 versuche ich vergebens das Datumsformat im Frontend anzupassen.

Ich habe alle möglichen Konfigurationen versucht.

In den Constants:

plugin.powermail.format.date = %d.%m.%Y

oder auch im Setup:

plugin.tx_powermail_pi1 {  
  _LOCAL_LANG.de {    
    JSvalidation_dateinput_format = dd.mm.yyyy
}

Aber leider greift hier garnichts.

Hat jemand eine Idee?
