# user rank icons broken

hallo profis!

seit dem update auf mm_forum 1.8 werden die icons für die userranks nicht mehr angezeigt. es hat anscheinend damit zu tun, dass der ordner uploads/tx_mmforum (wo die icons für die userranks liegen) standardmässig durch ein "deny from all" htaccess geschützt ist.

genau dieses problem wird im bugtracker (#5775) beschrieben und herr helmich hat folgenden lösungsansatz geschildert:

> I tested this issue. On my testing environment, the path is generated correctly (although with four leading "../"s, too). The actual problem is, that the uploads/tx_mmforum directory is by default protected by a "deny from all" htaccess. This means that all direct access to the ranking images will be denied.

> I have experimented a bit, and this problem can be solved -- at least in the frontend -- with the following construct:
>
> ```php
> $icon = $this->cObj->IMAGE(array('file' => 'uploads/tx_mmforum/'.$rank['icon'], 'file.' => array('params' => '-quiet')));
> ```

> This forces the user rank icon to be rendered through Imagemagick, therefore circumventing the .htaccess in the uploads directory (however, the upload path is still hardcoded -- it should be read from TCA -- but that's a different issue).

nun mein frage als rookie: wohin gehört diese php-zeile?

Wenn ich das richtig sehe, wird

```typoscript
$icon = $this->cObj->stdWrap($icon,$this->conf['ranks.']['icon_stdWrap.']).' ';
```

in der Datei class.tx_mmforum_ranksfe.php ersetzt.

Zumindest funktioniert es dann bei mir.
