# MySQL not available?

Hallo!
Ich habe folg. Problem:
Quickstart.zip entpackt.
Installscript aufgerufen.
Bei Database Check steht:

MySQL not available
PHP does not feature MySQL support (which is pretty unusual).

Was nun?

Die MySQL-DB funktioniert laut phpmyadmin einwandfrei.
Sprich: php4-mysql ist installiert. Auch phpinfo() funktioniert einwandfrei.
Scheint also ein SQL Problem zu sein.

Mein System:
Debian Woody (2.4.21)
Apache/1.3.26 + PHP4 Support
MySQL 3.23.49

Wenn noch mehr Infos gebraucht werden, kein Problem.  :)

Nachtrag:

Ach ja ich vergas:
Das Installscript kann ich nur direkt aufrufen!
Gehe ich auf die index.php im Wurzelverzeichniss von typo3 dann kriege ich nur eine weisse Seite!

Ich hab ein ähnliches Problem:

Bei der Konfiguration der Datenbank kommt folgende Fehlermeldung:

```plaintext
Check database: 
Could not connect to MySQL! 
Connecting to MySQL failed with these settings:
Username: usr_web5_1
Password: aloeshop
Host: localhost

Make sure you're using the correct set of data
```

Die Datenbank existiert aber, phpmyadmin und andere Programm können drauf zugreifen, hab die DB 3mal gelöscht und neu angelegt, aber immer wieder das selbe Problem.

Das was Du hier angibst ist bei Confixx üblicherweise der DB-Name, nimm mal web5 als Usernamen, dann klappt´s auch garantiert mit dem Nachbarn ;-)
