# update 4.04 -->4.1 / The Install Tool is locked

Hallo,
nach dem ändern der Symlinks auf den neuen Source von 4.1 kann ich wieder ins Backend. Im Frontend sieht erstmal alles wieder normal aus.
Doch wenn ich ins Install Tool möchte erscheint folgende Aufforderung

> The Install Tool is locked.
>
> Fix: Create a file typo3conf/ENABLE_INSTALL_TOOL
> This file may simply be empty.
>
> For security reasons, it is highly recommended to rename
> or delete the file after the operation is finished.

Wie kann ich dieses File erstellen? und wozu?

a) Einfach leere Datei per FTP hochladen oder eine leere Datei mit (z.B.) Dreamweaver erstellen
b) Sicherheit - früher musste man in der index.php eine Zeile auskommentieren - der Weg ist einfacher wie ich denke

nun den lokal installierten

> rtehtmlarea 1.4.3

im Ext. Manager löschen?

?
Gibt´s da  auch einen anderen Weg (im ftp rtehtmlarea Ordner löschen) oder was läuft schief?

Achso den xplbue vorher entfernen.
Ich probiers.
