Hello everybody,

Sorry, but my Deutsch isn't very good, so I my question is in English.

I've got only 30MB harddisk space available at my provider. The whole installation (dummy site) is about 30MB. Are there components that can be removed, to free up space?

Greetings Maverick

Thanks for your time and answre jweiland. I've setup Typo3 allready on my virtualserver and it is running fine. And yes indeed, Typo3 uses a lot of generated files. That's why I would like to know if there are modules that are not mandatory and could be deleted.

If not, I must consider to hire more webspace. But of course this will be my last option ;)

Greetings,

Maverick

Maverick,

if your hoster only gives you 30 MB of disk space, then there will be most likely other limitations that will prevent Typo3 from running (such as server RAM, no. of concurrent processes, CPU time, etc...)

You could delete a few files that are not needed, on the other hand Typo3 generates quite a number of temporary files when running, that will fill up the space again.

Typo3 is a powerful package and needs some decent hosting to run...

Regards
Jochen
