hi...ich habe vor kurzem mein typo3 auf 3.8 geupdatet.
alles funktioniert wunderbar doch bekomme ich jedesmal eine warnmeldung beim login

The encryption key is not set! Set it in $TYPO3_CONF_VARS[SYS][encryptionKey]

ok...enryption key setzen ist klar...kann ja lesen :-)
aber wo mache ich das und was gebe ich dann am besten ein?!?

Install Tool --> Basic Configuration --> "realtiv weit unten" Encryption key --> da kannst auf Generate random key!

für was der gut war...ich hatte was gelesen aber komme grad nicht drauf!!

unter **Basic Configuration** finde ich nichts, nur unter:

TYPO3 3.8.0 **Install Tool** --> **4: All Configuration** --> **[encryptionKey]**

You should notice that a change to this value might invalidate temporary information, URLs etc. At least, clear all cache if you change this so any such information can be rebuild with the new key.

Aber wo soll **Generate random key** sein?
